fearless solo exploration – week 26 solo

many people ask me on a regular basis: “what is your plan?” my answer: “not to have a plan”. this way it seems Im always at the right time in the right place. with a plan we are distracted, blind for all the numerous opportunities awaiting for us to grow. I would say this is my recipe to live life to the fullest. it becomes so much fun. like cherry picking! one could even say I live a life of faith rather than fear – like I was told the other day. I observed myself and I have to admit it is true. I always considered myself extremely lucky, blessed, fortunate to be provided with so many amazing opportunities, chances and enriching encounters, but maybe it is because it is my choice to live that way. I believe in the universe, or however you wish to call it, to guide us, provide us with all we need to learn, experiences we need to make – may they be good or bad – to grow and to reach our full potential. embracing everything. there are always two sides to events, we have the choice, which one we would like to focus on the good or the bad. life is so deliciously sweet.

well, I was offered a cabin to cross the atlantic and I took the offer. it feels a little bit like a betrayal of whisper. but Im sure she will forgive me – hopefully. here you can find a boat tour (minute 4:46 or shorter 08:36 onwards) on the kind of catamaran I will be crewing on. who could say no to an adventure on such a beauty?? I wanted to sail. we did cross the caribbean sea twice. so why not also cross the atlantic? right, thats what I thought. haha.

in the meantime I was exploring saint martin the smallest island shared by two countries. france and the netherlands. much more established and developed than the previous islands I have been on. not my favourite, but there are still gorgeous and hidden gems I found while exploring the island. I rented a car again. gosh. I was lost and confused a few times. especially roundabouts did my head in. which direction do I drive these things again?? I was a danger to the public, I had to wait for a car to show me the right way. uffff. luckily all went well at the end.

I was befriending, as she turned out to be, a singer, complementing her for her gorgeous jumpsuit she was wearing while we were queueing together. cyndel invited me to her gig and I had to go and see her. she played in this beautiful new restaurant maison mère. gorgeous performance, such an amazing voice she has. I sat at the bar and made more friends while sipping on delicious virgin cocktails. life could not be more peachy, or better caribbean style, more papayan – literally.

time to move again. where am I going next? stay tuned for more of my adventures…
