underwater bliss – week 29 solo

if one travels alone, you get to meet endless amounts of people. some of them are that nice, that I choose to hang out with them… I met fadi while eating a delicious burrito. we decided to go for a relaxing day at the beach. fadi brought his friend alex also from canada. we enjoyed the remainder fantasy land of a festival, ate like gods and goddess and snoozed at the beach. perfect preparation for my wave II diving course, which was finally due to start this week.

I let the pictures talk for themselves. the flora and fauna is far from this planet. one cenote nicer and more spectacular than the other. I only saw a few, oh my, I would love to stay forever and explore them all!!! I had an absolute blast. to be back in the water – a pure bliss, precision, technique, coordination, body awareness, relaxation at its best, highly focused, in the here and now. nowhere else. no wonder I get addicted to it over and over again.

yes, that is a baby crocodile. we shared the cenote, it even came for a visit. I was told when grown up it will get to 4 meters. iguanas, birds and butterflies in all colours you can imagine, I feel like being in a fairytale…

class room, stretching, theory, exam, skills to accomplish, all part of the course.

matt – what an epic teacher, thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and expertise. I progressed heaps in my comfort at depth and tremendously improved my diving technique. also many thanks to you fernanda. I loved diving with you both. because of you I passed my wave II – weeeepeeee!

I will come back for more, thats for sure!!

  1. Omg, I am so envious! It all looks so beautiful and magical. I have been interested in free diving for a number of years, since I first heard about it. Enjoy and have fun!!
